Our professional skilled home care services help patients recover from illness, injury, or surgery in the privacy and comfort of their own homes. Through our personal home care assistance services, our trained caregivers aid clients in their homes with personal care, housekeeping, meal preparation, companionship, and grocery shopping, among other things.

We create a customized care plan for each client to fit his or her specific needs. With the assistance of our professionally trained caregivers, seniors and physically or developmentally disabled people living at home can maintain superior levels of independence, health, and wellness.

ADLs are basic activities that include the following:

  • Walking – getting around the house or outside
  • Personal hygiene – bathing/showering, grooming, nail care, and oral care
  • Dressing – selecting clothes, putting them on, managing one’s appearance
  • Eating – being able to get food from a plate to one’s mouth
  • Maintaining continence – getting to and from the toilet, using it appropriately, cleaning oneself
  • Transferring/Mobility – being able to move from one body position to another, including being able to move from a bed to a chair or into a wheelchair and stand up from a bed or chair in order to grasp a walker or other assistive device.

IADLs are the self-care tasks we usually learn in our teen years. They require more complex thinking skills and include:

  • Managing finances – operating within a budget, writing checks, paying bills, and avoiding scams
  • Transportation – driving oneself, arranging rides, using public transportation
  • Shopping and meal preparation – includes everything needed to get a meal on the table as well as shopping for clothing and other items required for daily life
  • Housecleaning and home maintenance – doing laundry, washing dishes, dusting, vacuuming, and keeping up with home maintenance
  • Communication skills – using phone, mobile phone, email, or Internet
  • Managing medications – taking accurate dosages at the appropriate times, managing refills, avoiding conflicts
